Unfortunately, we cannot treat people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease – Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis etc, but it could still be beneficial for you to have a ‘Gut Health’ consultation with me. For further Contra-Indications – reasons you can’t have a colonic – please see the list below.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A CONSULTATION:
I understand that the idea of having a colonic can be very challenging for some people. I have treated 1,000’s of people over the years, and know only too well how you are feeling, so will do my utmost to help you to relax. Rest assured that your dignity is top of my list. You keep your top on, so wear something warm and comfortable and for most of the procedure everything is covered up under a towel. Please don’t allow fear to stop you from doing something that can truly benefit your whole health. If you want a quick chat then do phone me.
I allow 1 hour and 15 minutes for each consultation, but the treatment itself lasts around 45 minutes. During this time I will be washing body temperature, filtered water, in and out of your bowel. As you release the water, faecal waste will be released too. The process can also help to release trapped gas. At the end of the treatment, you simply go and sit on the toilet.
During the process, the water will be massaging the colon wall from the inside, and I will be massaging your abdomen from the outside. This can bring blood flow back into an unhealthy bowel, and can even re-set the enteric nervous system around the bowel, improving peristalsis, the muscle action needed to keep everything moving along properly, thus improving problems with constipation and sluggishness. This also helps with IBS.
You will receive handouts if needed, and advice on how to keep your gut healthy. And lastly, never underestimate the healing value of spending one to one time with an experienced holistic practitioner. Because the gut and the emotions are so connected, you can sometimes experience an emotional shift or release, either during or after the colonic.
Herbs – I have a few herbal combinations, developed for professional use during colonics, that I use if I feel they are necessary. These are very good for IBS, constipation and gas, and included in the price.
Coffee – I can also administer an organic coffee enema during the colonic, at an added cost of £10. This can only happen if it is booked in before the consultation, as I have to make it up at home. Coffee enemas are used to support the release of toxins from the liver, and it stimulates the production of the master antioxidant, glutathione, by 700 times more than what is naturally produced in the liver. Therefore, coffee enemas are essential when doing a detox, but can also be used as a general support during a colonic. They are also super helpful to people who suffer from headaches as it can act as a painkiller.
